Regulations
Once again, the Festival Internacional de Cine para Niñas (…y no tan Niños) has been organized with the intent of sharing customs, cultures, and languages by presenting to children of Mexico the best cinematographic production for children from all over the world.

The Festival will be presided by a Children's Jury which will award symbolic prizes to the best feature film and best short film presented at the festival.

The Festival, an independent cultural project held in Mexico City since 1995, is supported by several institutions, among which: Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, Dirección General de Actividades Cinematográficas de la UNAM, Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía, Cineteca Nacional, Cinemex WTC, Fundación Carmen Toscano.

Because of the size of Mexico City, we screen the Festival at various cinema theatres, aiming to reach the most children we can with this unique cinematographic option.

The Festival also offers the opportunity of introducing the films to Mexican distributors.

Categories
The objective of this invitation is to assemble and present quality cinematographic productions for children, from national as well as international sources, in the following categories:

Feature films of fiction or animation;
Short films of fiction or animation;
Documentaries aimed at children;
Short films produced by children of Mexico and other countries (non competitive).
Prizes awarded by the Children's Jury in each of these categories will consist in an artwork of ceramics produced by Federika Withfeld as well as a diploma.

Children and adults assisting to each screen presentation will be invited to vote and thus contribute to the award of the Public's Prize.
