Short Cut Keys for Typing Spanish on Computer

SHORT CUT KEYS TO SPANISH WRITING ON THE COMPUTER

Note: This only works on documents, not on e-mail. The document would need to be sent as an attachment in order to preserve the foreign symbols and the accents.

To make a "n" with a ~ over it:

Press all at the same time: Control + Shift +  ~  (tilde)

Release and press n.

To accent a vowel:

Press both at the same time: Control + ' (apostrophe)

Release and the next vowel you hit is accented

To make an exclamation mark at the beginning of a Spanish phrase:

Press all at the same time: Control + Shift +  Alt + !

To make a question mark at the beginning of a Spanish interrogative:

Press all at the same time: Control + Shift + Alt + ?
